On First Friday, September 3, Stupid Easy (at 3rd and Market) will be hosting a September Salon curated by Caryn Kunkle featuring four Philadelphia Salon artists: PJ Smalley, Harrison Doyle, Caleb Hoffstein, and Skirmantas Pipas. Representing a conjunctionist trend in contemporary art, these four artists combine concepts, techniques and materials into finished works that cross boundaries both mentally and physically. The artists met while studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. There they developed a process that involves a hybrid of paint, collage, print, and which exhibits a fresh twist to storytelling in our world of unconcious media.
